Philips launches first speaker docks for Android devices
Bluetooth streaming audio from £70

Philips has announced the first docking stations for Android phones and tablets - the Fidelio AS851, AS351 and AS111, with wireless Bluetooth music streaming and an app to let users operate their device via remote control.
A plethora of docking stations are already available for Apple devices, but so far Android devices have been overlooked, thanks to the fact that unlike Apple's smartphones and tablets, they don't all use the same universal connector.
This has made it difficult for manufacturers to come up with a one-stop solution, as they would need to include support for multiple physical connector types.
Philips has opted for a much simpler solution, using Bluetooth wireless communication to stream music between device and dock, thus avoiding any dependency on physical connections. The Fidelio AS851 comes with a MicroUSB connector that is mounted on a slider enabling smartphones and tablets of any size to be connected.
The flagship Fidelio AS851 docking station offers 30W output, and is priced at £200. The Fidelio AS351 offers 10W output and is priced at £130, while the Fidelo AS111 bedside dock costs £70 reports TechRadar.
