Angry Birds creator Rovio has collaborated with Samsung to launch the latest edition of its highly popular game, dubbed 'Angry Birds 12 days of Christmas'.

Rovio officially unveiled the app with an exclusive song-based teaser for IT news site T3. The teaser ends with 12 Samsung mobiles, giving an indication of a partnership that might be brewing between the Galaxy Maker and Rovio for the release of the app.

No details have been made available about how the game will be released, whether the app will be a standalone version or an update to the existing games. The official launch date hasn't been made public yet, but it's a reasonable bet to assume that the app might launch 12 days before Christmas.

Few other details are revealed in the teaser, other than the fact that the game will feature six bonus balls, three golden eggs and a fifth magic level.

In a related news, Rovio has hooked up with snack food maker Wonderful Pistachios to come up with a new 'custom, fully integrated, branded game' reports Pocket Gamer.

The game is called 'The Hunt for the Golden Pistachio' and has a total of three levels, the first two of which are accessible to all. The third and final level is accessible to only a select few who manage to get the 'Get Crackin' code that can be found on specially marked bags of Wonderful Pistachios.
