GPS giants appear to be trying to pip each other to the post at the moment by being the first to come up with an innovative improvement over traditional navigation. We recently reported on TomTom's new IQRoutes technology and will have a full review of the new 930T up on the site soon.
Binatone's effort is a little more adventurous, though, since the new T430 will include a full colour rear view camera, designed to be fitted above or below the rear numberplate.
Put the car in reverse and your sat-nav's screen will transform into a viewpoint from the rear of the car. The camera is wireless in terms of data but needs to be connected to a reverse light for power, so you'll need to be confident you can set the thing up yourself.
Since we've been pretty impressed by Binatone's efforts in the past, particularly in offering value for money, we'll been keen to see how well it works.
The T430 apparently retails for around £179.99, which is extremely cheap considering you get the camera as well, and should be available during May.
