Activision has announced that Kung Fu Panda, an action adventure based on the animated movie of the same name, will be released in the spring.

You’ll be able to play a variety of characters from the film, each with different special moves, abilities and upgrades. It sounds like the game will be fairly diverse in terms of content, consisting of thirteen large levels packed with foes to fight, obstacles to tackle and puzzles to solve, not to mention the usual huge boss creatures. Multiplayer will be available too, in both co-operative and competitive forms.

Kung Fu Panda aims to capture the film’s humour, with plenty of amusing dialogue promised, and it will contain clips from the movie. Moreover, there’ll be some exclusive content including completely new characters (such as the Wu Sisters, ninja cats with attitude).

Kung Fu Panda will be out in May on all major formats (X360, PS3, PC, Wii and PS2).
