Nanya Technology has announced that its 1,066MHz DDR3 SO-DIMM has been certified for use with Intel's latest mobile platform, codenamed Montevina but better known as Centrino 2.

The new DDR3 SO-DIMM is rated from PC3-6400 all the way up PC2-8500 with a 7-7-7 latency and has been designed to have both fast performance and lower power consumption.

The DDR3 SO-DIMMs are based on DDR3 1Gb components which have been jointly developed by Nanya and its partner Qimonda AG.

At present the product line consists of three modules;
512MB NT512C64BH8A0PN-BF with an 8-8-8 latency
1GB NT1GC64BH8A0PS-BE with a 7-7-7 latency
2GB NT2GC64B8HA0NS-BE with a 7-7-7 latency

No pricing details have been released as yet.
