New PSU gets Nvidia certification

If you've got a beast of PC build in mind and you're looking for a power supply to provide the horsepower for it, then Corsair is vying for your attention. It's put together what it claims is the first 1000W PSU to be certified under Nvidia's three-way Technology Certification Program.
The power supply unit is called the HX1000W, and is designed for systems with multicore processors and multiple graphics cards. It's got an independent +12V rail design, along with a 140mm temperature-controlled fan to try to keep noise levels under control while not shirking on cooling duties.
The HX1000W is slated for release towards the back end of March, and it's got a price tag to match its performance level. Only the US price has been revealed, and with that weighing in at $280, the best we can hope for is around the £150-175 mark.
