Nokia's XpressMusic range is one of its most popular in recent times, and one of the first to encourage consumers to look further than Sony Ericsson when it comes to audio. Recently expanded to include the new 5220 and 5320 handsets, these new models adopt a similar design along with a few added extras.

Both have a 2-inch, 240 x 320-pixel display, 3.5mm headphones port, dedicated media keys and use expandable microSD memory, though the lower-specced 5220 offers twice the talk and standby time at 5 hours and 17 days respectively.

This latter model also features a rather funky asymmetrical design, so is more likely to appeal to those who prefer style over substance.

The more powerful 5320 is a Smartphone with 3G (UTMS) + HSDPA connectivity alongside the standard GPRS and EDGE, and offers support for the new N-Gage gaming service.

Both handsets are likely to appeal to multimedia users, with impressive audio and video support and, in the case of the 5320, voice recognition for the media player's “Say and Play” feature.

The 5220 is expected to cost around £130, about £50 cheaper than the 5320, and both are scheduled for release in Q3 2008.
